Wolves now close to beating Tottenham to ‘fantastic’ Brazilian talent
Wolves have once again had a mixed transfer window having lost two key players in Max Kilman and Pedro Neto whilst making few top-class signings.
One of five Premier League teams sat on zero points after the first two games of the season, it’s been a tough summer for the Molineux side, with Gary O’Neil having two days left to bring in the signings needed to get Wolves shooting up the standings.
With Wilfried Zaha believed to be a target for Wolves, an ambitious signing of two could be around the corner with the transfer window closing tomorrow night, with Jonathan Ikone also on the radar.
And Wolves could now be about to beat Tottenham to a top Brazilian talent.
Wolves close to signing Brazil international Andre Trindade
According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolves are advancing in a €25m (£22m) deal to sign Fluminense star and Brazil international Andre Trindade, with negotiations with the midfielder believed to be going well.
Romano posted on Twitter: “Wolves are closing in on deal to sign André from Fluminense, talks are at final stages! Negotiations advancing for €22m plus €3m add-ons, as geglobo reported. Details being discussed to get it done.”
With Tottenham recently linked with a move for Andre, the 23-year-old defensive midfielder is no stranger to being rumoured with a move to the Premier League, with Wolves now in the driving seat.

Wolves are no strangers to landing hidden gems from across the world and transforming them into top Premier League players, and Andre could be just that for O’Neil’s side this season.
The Fluminense star is one of the most exciting talents coming out of South America and has been linked with a move to England for some time, with Tottenham one such team interested in the midfielder.
Yet it appears that Wolves are the side that will win the race for Andre, and the Molineux side might have just landed one of the breakout stars of the new season in the Fluminense dynamo heading into tomorrow’s deadline.
