The 5 Hull City players likely to exit the MKM Stadium from June onwards

Jacob Greaves could depart Hull City if they miss out on promotion, as top-level clubs may be interested in the 23-year-old’s talent.

Jaden Philogene has made a big impact at Hull City this season, but a buy-back clause from Villa adds uncertainty to his future.

Billy Sharp’s age may play a role in deciding his future at Hull City, with the veteran striker’s next move dependent on promotion success.

Hull City have their sights set on promotion contention come the end of this season, and look to be mounting a real challenge as we enter the final run-in.

Having steadily built season-on-season since clinching the League One title in the 2020/21 season, the natural next step is attempting to achieve a Championship play-off place.

They look real contenders for that this season, but on account of the impressive performances they have put in, there are players that have found it difficult to break into the side, and others that may begin to attract attention when the summer transfer window comes around.

Here are five players that could depart the MKM Stadium at the end of this season…

Jacob Greaves has been with his hometown club since childhood, and has been recorded as saying it would be his dream to lead the side all the way to the Premier League.

However, should the Tigers miss out on promotion this time around, there is likely to be a queue of top-level sides wanting to capture the 23-year-old’s signature.

At such a young age, especially for a centre-back, Greaves has already made 39 League One appearances and over 120 Championship appearances. The fact that he is a left-footer makes him a rarer entity still, and will only serve to increase his value.

In the past, the defender has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, and AS Roma, and another strong season in the heart of a promotion-chasing Championship is going to have done little to dissuade interested parties.

If Hull don’t achieve the promotion dream this season, Greaves could be one player they may have trouble keeping.
