Journalist now says 25-year-old is “ready” to leave Crystal Palace
Ahead of a busy summer window, one Crystal Palace player is ready to leave, but he might not get his wish according to Graeme Bailey.
Oliver Glasner will be dreading this summer, with some of the Premier League‘s biggest clubs circling for his best players.
It was always going to be the case, that the indisputably outstanding performances of Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi would lead to interest.
But Crystal Palace will be desperate not to let all three depart this summer which could leave one player who is ready to go, still at Selhurst Park in September.
We Are Palace have spoken to HITC Football’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey about just that, with Eze and Olise’s future being particularly interesting.

Will Eberechi Eze get his big move this summer?
This summer both Eze and Olise will be linked with big money moves elsewhere, there’s no avoiding it and it’s already been prevalent for months.
Olise has Manchester United desperate to secure his signature with a release clause of around £60m, while Eze has Manchester City on his tail along with Spurs.
We asked Graeme Bailey about Eze’s future in particular to which he explained what makes the 25-year-old’s situation interesting.
“Eze is an interesting one, he really is. I can see he really is ready to go but I think Eze might have to wait another summer to get out. They can’t afford to sell their crown jewels. If one does go, it’s likely to be Olise but if Eze did want to go, he’s got a lot of interest.”
From this, it seems Palace will do everything in their power to keep Eze should Olise go and only a massive offer would likely tempt the Eagles to sell.
Eze staying would be massive for Crystal Palace next season
While it seems pretty likely that eventually, Eze will get a big move, he’s simply too talented not to, keeping him for an extra year would be massive for Palace and Glasner.
The Austrian boss could struggle to replace both Eze and Olise well this summer, with only right-sided options really being linked heavily thus far.
So giving the Olise replacement a year to settle in with the already settled and thriving Eze to pick up the slack could be a wise move, with Eze’s eventual replacement arriving next summer or even prior, to allow for an overlap.
But at the end of the day, if Eze wants to leave, and City arrive with a huge offer, there won’t be much Dougie Freedman and co can do to prevent it.
