West Ham £20m Walker-Peters bid was turndown as they completed Wan Bissaka Bid as Medicals still pending

Southampton have told West Ham it will take £20m to sign Kyle Walker-Peters this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

This comes after talks between the London-based club and Premier League new boys over a deal for the right-back.

Even though the Premier League sides have been negotiating, sources say there is no agreement in place.

The 27-year-old is believed to be keen to join the Irons this summer as he heads into the final year of his Saints contract.

West Ham are in the market for a right-back in this window after losing Ben Johnson, who left the club at the end of his contract.

West Ham set sights on three right-backs after new Kyle Walker-Peters talks
Even though Southampton are willing to sell Walker-Peters this summer, they may lose out on a deal with West Ham.

The Hammers are currently assessing the market for other options, including Torino’s Raoul Bellanova.

The Saints are also hoping to be active in the transfer market this summer, as they aim to bolster their attacking options.

West Ham United have reportedly submitted an offer to sign 28-year-old Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth from La Liga club Villarreal this summer.
According to a report by El Periodico Mediterraneo, as relayed by Sport Witness, Alexander Sorloth is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers have already made an offer to sign the Villarreal attacker, with the Yellow Submarine pointing to his release clause of €38 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

Alexander Sorloth has established himself as one of the best strikers in La Liga since joining Villarreal from RB Leipzig last summer. A native of Trondheim, he spent his formative years in his homeland but struggled for stability for most of his professional career before moving to Estadio de la Ceramica in July 2023.

Manchester United 'Will Listen to Offers' for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The 28-year-old was exceptional throughout the 2023/24 season, particularly in La Liga, as he came close to winning the Pichichi Trophy before Artem Dovbyk pipped him to the prize. Sorloth amassed 26 goals and six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions last term, with 21 strikes coming in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Alexander Sorloth’s exploits for Villarreal have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. A return to the Premier League in the summer transfer window might be on the cards, with West Ham United vying for the Norwegian striker’s signature.

West Ham United’s interest in Alexander Sorloth is understandable. The Hammers have been scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window due to the advancing years of Michail Antonio and Danny Ings. While Antonio can still be a handy backup attacker, Ings is past his sell-by date.

So, several strikers, including Kelechi Iheanacho, have emerged on West Ham United’s radar. However, Sorloth is also a viable target, with the East London club already submitting a bid to sign the 28-year-old from La Liga Villarreal. However, the Yellow Submarine will only let him leave if a suitor triggers his release clause of €38 million.

The report mentions an offer worth €30 million, which has tempted Villarreal. So, West Ham must come close to Alexander Sorloth’s release clause of €38 million to beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.
