Insider Links Flame throwing World Series Champion to Baltimore Orioles

With more potential adds coming to the Baltimore Orioles’ bullpen, this World Series champion could be a target.

All eyes are on if the Baltimore Orioles can add the elite starting pitcher they have been looking for this offseason.

The conversation is repetitive and is getting to the point of almost yelling into the abyss since nothing of note has taken place.

No contract offers, no trade packages and no initial reach outs have been reported lately.

So, it’s pretty much all speculation and wishful thinking something can get done before Spring Training begins.

Apparently one area the Orioles are still looking to add players to is in their bullpen.

They signed Craig Kimbrel to help lessen the blow that Felix Bautista’s absence will cause, but the front office would still like to add more arms at the Major League level, or to have on standby in Triple-A.

With Baltimore not able to hand out some of the top-of-the-line contracts that the better options are receiving, they’re likely looking for one or two year additions.

One name that Roch Kubatko of MASN threw out was Aroldis Chapman.

The flamethrowing left-hander is coming off a World Series championship with the Texas Rangers after they traded for him at the deadline.
