REPORT: Star’s Career With Cincinnati Bengals Likely Over After Injury Update; Fans Say Goodbye
Cincinnati Bengals fans wished a star wide receiver the best of luck after an injury update before the team’s Week 18 contest against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Bengals have had several unfortunate injuries this season. The biggest injury was to quarterback Joe Burrow, which effectively ended any hopes of the Bengals making the playoffs.
The Bengals are already eliminated from the postseason this week. So the news Friday that star wide receiver Tee Higgins would be doubtful for their game against the Browns because of a hamstring injury is sure to hit the Bengals hard.
According to Paul Dehner Jr. with The Athletic, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase said he realized this week that it could be his last game with Higgins:
“Lot of memories. Lot of laughs. Just a lot of bonding going on with those guys. Something I can’t explain, that’s how much fun we always have.”
Ja’Marr Chase said “it hit me this week” this could be his last game with Tee Higgins and/or Tyler Boyd.
Took a second to reflect:
“Lot of memories. Lot of laughs. Just a lot of bonding going on with those guys. Something I can’t explain, that’s how much fun we always have.”
Chase would like Higgins to come back, but he understands the Bengals have serious issues with their salary cap coming up. It’s almost impossible to see how Higgins can return to Cincinnati next season.

If that’s the case, then thank you for everything you’ve done for Cincinnati 5. Could always count on you to come up with the goods
