Club partner with world’s leading GPS player-tracking tech provider
Wrexham AFC are pleased to announce a partnership with STATSports, the world’s leading provider of GPS player-tracking technology.
Providing the Club with access to STATSports’ cutting-edge GPS technology and world-class data analysis software, the partnership will be in place until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Wrexham AFC Head of Performance Medicine and Sports Science, Kevin Mulholland, said: “STATSports’ GPS technology and data analysis software will play a key role in helping us to maximize player performance across the club at all levels including our first team, academy and women’s team.
STATSports’ GPS tracking system is used by some of the biggest clubs and football associations in the world, including Brazil, England, Paris St Germain and Juventus, and has been proven to enhance player performance.
The system allows clubs to monitor the physical performance of their players in real-time, collecting data on metrics such as distance covered, speed, acceleration, deceleration, and high-intensity
efforts.
This data is then analysed using STATSports’ advanced data analysis software, which provides coaches and medical staff with insights into player performance, to help inform training schedules and sessions.
