Former Nottingham Forest boss discusses ‘massive’ Sunderland job

Former Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton described Sunderland as “a massive club” when he was asked if he would take charge of the Black Cats if he was offered the job.

Sunderland are looking for a new manager after sacking Michael Beale earlier this week. And speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Warburton was asked about the vacant role at the Stadium of Light.

“If you can’t see the potential at Sunderland, as a manager or coach… It’s a massive club,” he said. “Great fan base. Anyone who gets that job right will be in for a fantastic ride.”
