“Hold on”… Club now told not to sell “magic” £37m player to Crystal Palace this summer
Crystal Palace seems to have several transfer targets already in mind for this summer, now one has been labelled as ‘magic’.
Oliver Glasner‘s first summer at Selhurst Park is fast approaching and he and Dougie Freedman‘s planning will be well underway already.
Of all the positions which need strengthening, a Michael Olise successor seems to be top of the bill right now.
This has seen several names linked, with Championship gems such as Jonathan Rowe being joined by the ridiculously talented Matias Soule of Frosinone (on loan from Juventus), who scored a worldie for Argentina U23s.
Now the Juve winger has been praised by a Turin legend who has urged the club to keep him.
Alessio Tacchinardi warns Juventus against selling Matias Soule
Speaking with Gazzetta, Juventus legend Alessio Tacchinardi made a defiant appeal to the decision-makers in Turin to avoid selling Palace target, Soule, this summer.
“Juve, hold on tight Soulé. Or you risk the [Kingsley] Coman [repeat],” he explained, clearly in relation to the regret at Juventus after allowing the French winger to depart.
He continued to explain exactly why he wanted Soule to remain at the club, amid Crystal Palace‘s interest.
“Young attackers like him should not be sacrificed. What a trident with Vlahovic and Chiesa. But the game system needs to be changed.
“I watched and watched Soule’s goal with the Argentina Under 23s and I think I wasn’t the only one: it’s really magic. But I’m not surprised, we’re talking about a guy who has something different and more than the others.”
Soule is the best-case scenario for Crystal Palace this summer
If Olise departs this summer, then Soule is definitely the best-case scenario for Palace in terms of replacing him.
This is something that quite clearly the club also believe as he’s been a target since December at the latest thanks to his mesmerising displays for Frosinone this season in Serie A (10G, 2A).
