Hull City have a problem which needs rectifying before the January transfer window closes on Thursday week, and it comes up front.
City have one fit striker and that one fit striker is 37-year-old Billy Sharp. Liam Delap has been a revelation this season but is now likely to miss the remainder
of the season with a knee injury, and Aaron Connolly is still having flashbacks to the moment, Angus Gunn, almost sent him shuddering into the River Humber, as well as nursing an ongoing foot problem.
At Sunderland on Friday night, Liam Rosenior was forced to operate without a recognised frontman for the second successive visit to the Stadium of Light, before bringing Sharp off the bench in the second half to good effect.

Though City are not short of players capable of playing behind the striker, having somebody to lead the line and ultimately, put the ball in the net, they are concerningly short up front.
