Iraola provides update on Tyler Adams injury recovery
ANDONI Iraola says “everything is going well” with Tyler Adams’s latest recovery from injury.
The USA international is yet to make his mark at Cherries, since his £23million switch from Leeds United last summer.
The 24-year-old has managed just 20 minutes of action for his new club so far, coming off the bench in a Carabao Cup game against Stoke City back in September.
Prior to that appearance, Adams had been recovering from hamstring surgery after an injury picked up during his time as a Leeds player.
But, after that appearance against Stoke, it was decided the midfielder needed further surgery to repair the issue, ruling him out of action for a number of months.
And while Iraola would not put a timescale on his return, he provided an encouraging update.
Cherries’ head coach told the Daily Echo: “He is training.
“On his own still, but he is touching the ball, going through the process.
“There have been no setbacks. Everything is going well.
“But I don’t know exactly when he is going to start training with the team.”
Speaking in October, Iraola said Adams would be out of action for “three or four months” depending on how his recovery went.
USA will be keen to have Adams back fit in time for when they host Copa America in June.
