Another one for Kalen DeBoer and his Alabama staff. It’s a massive one, literally.

Four-star offensive lineman Michael Carroll has committed to Alabama, Bama247 can confirm. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder was in Tuscaloosa for his official visit over the weekend and saw enough to shut it down and roll with the Crimson Tide. He took an official visit to Georgia last weekend and was scheduled to official visit Michigan and Penn State to close out the month.

The multi-day trip marked the third visit to The Capstone since the coaching change and first since the A-Day visit, where Alabama was viewed to be the leader coming out of the trip.

Carroll is the first offensive line commit of the 2025 cycle for Chris Kapilovic, who led the charge on his recruitment.

Alabama is up to 13 commitments and holds the No. 3 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. The Crimson Tide seems to trending for several other top targets including fellow offensive line prospect and in-state legacy recruit Mal Waldrep, who was also on campus for an official visit over the weekend.

Alabama’s performance against South Florida left many wondering what in the world was going on in Tuscaloosa. Nick Saban tried to quell fears by expressing admiration for his 2023 team.

The Rebels came to Bryant-Denny Stadium 3-0, and Lane Kiffin was up to his knees in antics, first suggesting that Travaris Robinson, not Kevin Steele, was calling Alabama’s defense, and also sub-tweeting a very specific Taylor Swift song ahead of the game.
