Ohio State Trending For Kansas State Transfer QB Will Howard? – CFB Tracker
JAN 2 HOWARD TO BUCKS? According to On3’s Pete Nakos, there is increasing buzz surrounding Ohio State and Kansas State transfer quarterback, Will Howard.
“Buy the buzz on Ohio State,” Nakos said. “I definitely think Will Howard and Ohio State have been in conversations. I can definitely see it coming together.”
The Buckeyes of course, are in search of an impact player at the quarterback position after the transfer of Kyle McCord, and the extremely underwhelming performances from Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz in the Cotton Bowl.
Last season with the Wildcats, Howard threw for 2,643 yards and 24 scores, and rushed 351 yards and nine touchdowns.
In his career at Kansas State, Howard has thrown for 5,786 yards, 48 touchdowns and 25 interceptions, and has rushed for 921 yards and 19 scores.
DEC 28 MEYERS ADVICE Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been in his fair share of big games and challenging situations.
As such, it gives him a unique qualification to give his opinion on what Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are facing on Friday night in the Cotton Bowl.
During his recent episode of Urban’s Take with Tim May Meyer did just that, imparting a piece of wisdom on to Day, ahead of his huge matchup with Missouri at AT&T Stadium.
Find a way to get to 12-1. Empty the barrels, everything you possibly can do,” Meyer said. “It’s in a great state in the Cotton Bowl. It’s a great city, Dallas, it is gonna be the biggest show on that evening. Empty the barrels man. I mean, find a way to win this game.”
The Buckeyes will enter Friday night’s game as 3.5-point favorites. Kickoff is set for 8 pm Eastern time.
