2025’s biggest rising prospect expected to visit Kentucky
Kentucky will be getting a closer look at one of the biggest risers and top shooters in the 2025 class when he visits Lexington next week.
Announced on Wednesday, 2025 four-star guard Braylon Mullins will be visiting Kentucky on June 24 for an unofficial visit.
Mullins is from Greenfield-Central (Ind.) where put up terrific numbers as a junior. He averaged 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and shot 43 percent (61-of-143) from three.
Playing for an undefeated Indiana Elite on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Mullins has been one of the top scorers this spring. He’s currently averaging 20.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 55.8 percent (96-of-172) from the field and 52.1 percent (50-of-96) from three.
Those numbers and the consistency he showed throughout the last 6-8 months helped him skyrocket in the most recent 247Sports rankings.
“I was blown away by this guy when I saw Indiana Elite in (Adidas) 3SSB because not only is he a big-time shooter, but this guy’s got some stuff to him, as we say,” Finkelstein said on ‘during the rankings reveal on Tuesday. “I mean, he is tough. He’s scrappy defensively. He’s got some lift at the rim. He checks a lot of boxes.”
Mullins was the biggest riser in the class of 2025 updated rankings, jumping 68 spots to No. 24 overall and the No. 5 overall shooting guard in the class.
“Having seen him so early in the spring — as I traveled to different circuits in subsequent weeks — the question I asked myself when I watched almost every guard is, ‘Are you better than Braylon Mullins?’,” Finkelstein said.
Mullins has earned offers from UConn, North Carolina, Kansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue and others all during the spring. Indiana is a school that is heavily invovled and may be sitting at the top in his recruitment for the time being.
After a key visit from five-star Jasper Johnson earlier this week, next week is looking like another important week with Mullins’ visit on the docket.
