Raiders Star Maxx Crosby Reveals Mission to ‘Ruin Everyone’s Season’ Amid Dreadful Start
Barring a miraculous run following all of the staffing changes made on offense, the Las Vegas Raiders don’t have much to play for nine games into the NFL season. The Raiders have a dreadful 2-7 record, three below-average quarterbacks and really no reason other than pride to win games. They are now in a position where the more they lose, the more it helps them position themselves to have a better pick in the NFL draft. However, while the front office and fans may be hoping for the best pick possible, All-Pro pass rusher Maxx Crosby may not feel the same. When making an appearance on “Let’s Go,” Crosby expressed a desire to ruin the seasons of every team Las Vegas plays.
“The reality is we are what our record is, and it’s 2-7, which is not good,” Crosby said. “So I look at it as being the Joker. If we’re not going to be the king of the castle right now might as well go and ruin everyone’s season. And I love that. I love being the villain.” The Raiders will have plenty of chances to derail some seasons down the stretch, whether it be divisional rivals like the Denver Broncos or Los Angeles Chargers or a team like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are attempting to claw their way into the playoffs despite all of the injuries they have. Whether or not winning any games the rest of the season will be helpful for Vegas’ future is a different conversation
This week, Crosby and the Raiders will have a chance to shoot down a team that is on the outside looking in at the playoff picture: the 2-6 Miami Dolphins, who are hoping to make a run with Tua Tagovailoa back under center.
