Leicester transfer gets go-ahead as Steve Cooper tells fans what they want to hear

Leicester transfer gets green light as Steve Cooper tells fans what they want to hear

Former Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper has somewhat controversially taken over at Leicester City Football Club. But the new boss will have delighted Foxes fans by telling them exactly what they want to hear upon his arrival on Filbert Way last week.

FoL also report following the suggestion that the go-ahead has been given regarding a potential signing. The latest LCFC gaffer is an admirer and associate of an existing transfer target and has therefore given his blessing for a deal to the east Midlands outfit’s recruitment department.

Finally there is someone in charge in place at Leicester. Although there isn’t much direct work to do with the LCFC squad at present, Cooper will probably already be getting down to work. Planning, planning and more planning will be his occupation at the moment. Once the Euros has reached its climax, things will get more serious and busier at King Power Stadium. Not to mention the team’s Seagrave training centre.

A few days ago, we reported on some of the arguably unfair, and certainly upset, comments from a section of the Blue Army. That faction is generally unhappy that Cooper was offered the job at Leicester in the first place. There is animosity due to the 44-year-old being a one-time Forest manager. There is a rivalry between the two Midlands sides, yet it isn’t as fierce as other conflicts.

There seem to be many disgruntled supporters following Cooper’s switch of allegiance in the Trees fan base as well. Nevertheless, both sets of fans must move on; here, we’re only concerned with Leicester and are unconcerned with what NFFC loyalists say and do.

What has Steve Cooper said since he joined Leicester City?

Cooper’s first statement will hopefully appease and please the majority of Leicester’s support. The Pontypridd-born man wishes to ‘establish the Foxes as a Premier League force once again’. Let’s hope the board back him satisfactorily over his possible three years at the club.

Joe Rodon has history and a solid relationship with Cooper; they enjoyed a connection whilst at Swansea City together. The latter was admittedly very fond of the player. Once the boss was installed at LCFC, speculation reappeared.
