Responding to a query about Fields’ status, Allbright mentioned hearing a rumor that the Jets might explore a trade for Fields, considering him as a backup for Aaron Rodgers in 2024. It would be a strange move, but allowing Fields to learn behind Rodgers could be an ideal situation for the young signal caller.
With the Bears expected to trade Fields after this season, holding the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft courtesy of the Carolina Panthers, speculation has come up about potential suitors. Some suggest the Las Vegas Raiders could be interested in making a deal for the Ohio State product
