REPORT: The Jacksonville Jaguars Claimed a 25-Year-Old Offensive Lineman Off Waivers From a Division Rival
The Jacksonville Jaguars completed Week 3 of voluntary organized team activities (OTAs) last Thursday and will have mandatory minicamp from Monday, June 10, to Wednesday, June 12. Once mandatory minicamp finishes, they will have a month and a half off before training camp begins.
One of the biggest headlines surrounding their offensive line is the competition for the starting center job.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a competition for the starting center job
Mitch Morse and Luke Fortner will compete for the starting center job.
Morse will be on his third team in his tenth year in the league. The one-time Pro Bowler has played 126 games and started 126 in his career. He spent the last five seasons with the Buffalo Bills before they released him because of limited cap space. He will likely win the starting job.
Fortner is in his third year in the league and has started every game. Unfortunately, he has struggled in his first two seasons, which explains why they signed Morse. He will likely serve as the backup.
The Jaguars claimed an offensive lineman off waivers from a division rival.
