Three former Norwich City stars’ attempts to win Wrexham $1million fell short as they were beaten in the last 16 of the TST seven-a-side tournament.

Not only are teams required to win the game with a goal, the victors the first to score one more than the leading team at full-time, but they lose a player every three minutes after the end of the 40-minute main section.

Hooper’s goal in Wrexham’s group stage opener couldn’t prevent a 4-2 loss to Roha Eagles, although he set up the winner in the ensuing 1-0 win over Saturdays Football.
