Blackburn Rovers ‘pretty much agree’ to sell player for just €1m – Now down to him
Blackburn Rovers are on the verge of securing a transfer worth €1m, but now have to wait for the player to make his mind up about the move.
Tipsbladet in Denmark report Leopold Wahlstedt is the subject of serious interest from Aarhus Gymnastikforening, more commonly known as simply Aarhus or AGF.
Wahlstedt arrived at Blackburn Rovers last August, moving from Odd and signing a three year deal with the Championship club. In his first season, he made 25 appearances and dropped in prominence as the season went on.
According to Tipsbladet’s report, AGF and Blackburn Rovers ‘pretty much agree’ on a deal worth €1m. Now it’s down to the 24-year-old to decide whether he fancies a move to Danish football and if he can agree personal terms.
AGF are in need of a goalkeeper after seeing Bailey Peacock Farrell return to Burnley. He’d been on loan and there doesn’t look like there’s any chance of that move being extended.
Blackburn Rovers won a battle with Brondby last summer to sign Wahlstedt, and AGF had been interested at that time too.

Blackburn Rovers injury round-up with update on Ryan Hedges
Ryan Hedges is expected to be fit for the start of the 2024/25 campaign after a hamstring lay-off but will miss the start of Blackburn Rovers’ pre-season.
The Welsh winger missed the remaining five matches of last season after suffering a second injury to his left hamstring.
The 28-year-old was ruled out for four months of the campaign after tearing that muscle in September against Ipswich Town. After a long lay-off he then returned in February but the campaign remained injury-hit.
Hedges suffered a groin injury against Norwich City shortly after which kept him out for several matches. The second hamstring problem, picked up against Southampton in April, was a major blow.
