Player arrives in England to complete Crystal Palace transfer as Eagles medicals on-going…
On Friday, L’Equipe reported Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle with Marseille over signing Ismaïla Sarr this summer.
It was also said the forward should complete his move to the Premier League side in the next few days.
That hasn’t happened so far, but the deal to take the 26-year-old to Crystal Palace should go through if Wiw Sport is to be believed.
It’s claimed all parties have found an agreement for Sarr to join the Eagles in this window, and they are ‘getting closer and closer’ to making the transfer official.
Wiw Sport state this is their own information and sources have informed them the Senegal international is already in England to carry out the transfer formalities.
They add the former Watford man is scheduled to undergo a medical with Crystal Palace on Friday. There’s no explanation provided as to why there’s a slight delay, even after the player arrived in England, but he’ll ‘definitely leave Marseille to join Crystal Palace’.
Sarr will sign a five-year deal at Crystal Palace once he completes the examinations. This deal will see him return to England, a year after he left Watford for the Ligue 1 side.
The Eagles have been looking for a winger to bring in since losing the services of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.
Sarr is the man they have picked and a deal has been agreed with the winger’s club Marseille.
The wide-man is in London and has now received his visa, according to Senegalese outlet Taggat.
He will now undergo his medical with Crystal Palace on Tuesday and look to come through it without an issue.
If he passes his medical then he will be able to put pen to paper to his Crystal Palace contract.
Sarr made 35 appearances for Marseille over the course of last season, scoring five times and providing six assists.
He has experience in the Premier League due to a spell at Watford and has made 50 appearances in the division.
Crystal Palace have the chance to bring in more players in this window
Crystal Palace have shown interest in Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha, according to a report by Tutto Mercato Web. The report claims West Ham and Monza are also keen, whilst Leeds United had a bid rejected earlier this summer.
The Eagles could see the Belgian Pro League man as someone to bolster their defensive department. His future remains up in the air at this moment in time.
Torunarigha, who is 26-years-old, is a Nigeria international with one cap under his belt so far. He joined Gent back in 2022 on an initial loan deal that was later made permanent.
