Green Bay Packers Reporter Has Shocking Comparison For Bo Melton

During the Green Bay Packers’ Week 17 blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings, a new star was born for the offense. That star was born in the form of Bo Melton.

The young wide receiver, who had not put together much of a role all season long, had a breakout performance to help lead the Packers to victory. He ended up with six catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. Melton almost had another big touchdown reception, but Jordan Love missed him by a couple of feet on a gutsy fourth-down call from Matt LaFleur.

Looking ahead to the Week 18 game against the Bears, one Packers’ reporter could not stop from making a massive comparison for Melton. He believes that the young wideout plays an awful lot like Green Bay legend Donald Driver.

That is some high praise for a wide receiver with one big game under his best.

Driver is one of the top fan favorite players of all-time in Packers’ history. He was a dominant wideout for Green Bay for years and has been inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.

Granted, there is no denying that Melton possesses a lot of talent. Fans can only hope that he can make the kind of impact that Driver did throughout his career. It’s certainly an entertaining comparison.

Expect to see Melton use his breakout against the Vikings as a trampoline into the future. LaFleur has been vocal that he sees Melton being a long-term fit and it will be interesting to see what he can do in Green Bay over the next year or two.
