Wolves boss O'Neil would be 'very surprised' if Liverpool do not challenge City, Arsenal for Prem title

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Wolves… ‘special’ player forces Nuno Espirito Santo change after hectic deadline day

Focus at Nottingham Forest will now be back on the Premier League action following Friday’s transfer deadline.

And it proved to be a busy one for Forest who were able to pull off two signings over the final hours of the window.

The pick of the two transfer deals was arguably James Ward-Prowse’s arrival at Forest from West Ham United on a season-long loan.

Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side are, however, back in action today with Wolves making the trip to the City Ground in search of their first point.

The Reds will be looking to continue what has been a really encouraging start to the season with four points on the board in the league.

Jota Silva to be handed full Premier League debut

Forest were in action during the week in the Carabao Cup but it did not end well for the Reds having lost out on penalties.

Newcastle United made a flying start but Jota Silva was able to level the proceedings with a stunning goal on his City Ground debut.

And it was clear to see the Forest fans were delighted with the performance of Silva against Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Having scored on his first start under Nuno, it would not be too difficult to imagine the ‘special‘ winger could get the nod on Saturday afternoon.

Anthony Elanga dropped after late Newcastle interest

One player who Forest were able to keep ahold of was Anthony Elanga who had been linked with a potential move all summer.

Newcastle showed late interest in signing Elanga on Friday after their interest earlier in the window fell on deaf ears.

Given the Swede has not exactly gotten off to the best of starts in the Premier League, it may be time for Nuno to mix things up.

And a combination of Elanga’s transfer speculation and Silva’s early form may well provide Nuno with a decision to make.

Chris Wood remains Forest’s main striker

Although Forest did not have a lot of issues over the summer, finding a new striker was a real struggle.

Eddie Nketiah ended up making a move to Crystal Palace and Santiago Gimenez rejected the possibility of a move to Forest.

There may well have been some scrambling about done in the final hours of the window but Chris Wood remains the main man up top.

Thankfully, he has made a promising start with a return of one goal in the opening two games.
