Hull City loanee Jevon Mills says move to Bohemians was a ‘no-brainer’

Hull City defender Jevon Mills admits his deadline-day loan move to Bohemians was a “no-brainer”.

The Nottingham native, who has captained Ireland at U-19 level, arrived at Dalymount Park last month for the fourth loan spell of his career, having previously earned first-team experience at Falkirk, Gateshead and Solihull Moors.

Hull City’s top six advantage as Turkish delight offers chance to make significant mark

The Tigers will spend the next few days in warm and sunny Antalya

Hull City vice-chairman Tan Kesler says the club’s trip to Turkey this week is absolutely crucial in the Tigers’ hopes of finishing inside the Championship’s top six.

Liam Rosenior and his players will jet out to Antalya this morning for a week-long training camp at the plush surroundings of the Regnum Carya resort, where they spent a period of time during the World Cup break shortly after the head coach’s appointment in November 2022.

On the trip, Rosenior’s squad will be joined by 50 City supporters and their guests, after Acun Ilicali opted to take supporters out to Antalya, just as he did 18 months ago, in what is another huge act of generosity from the Tigers owner.

The City boss will use the week to get valuable tactical work into his players before they return to England and set about the final nine games of the season, starting with the visit of Stoke City to the MKM Stadium on Good Friday, which it’s hoped will be a sixth sell out of the campaign.

“It was important for us as a team to come together in a very private environment where right before the final state of the play-off run and promotion run,” Kesler said.

“Liam had mentioned it and we’ve decided with the chairman that we could give the boys a better environment where they can just spend some time with themselves even more to focus. It’s more like a team building, but we’ve already built something special in here, and we’re trying to make sure the unity is still there, that we are as tight as we have always been.

“So this was the idea, but you know the chairman as well, he thinks about how to reach out to fans, please the fans and improve the fan base as well as the football side, so he said, let’s just do this with the fans. Those who have been consistently supporting the club over the years, whether they’re coming to the home and away games, buying membership, subscribing to all our apps and social media etc. We created a raffle point system, and those lucky ones, they’re going to come in and understand what we did.

“We want them to experience that, to be part of that and then feel like they are with us. They’ll be with their plus-ones and then when they come back, they will hopefully spread the word and help us get more sell-outs in the remaining four home games.”
