Stoke City have endured a dismal 2023/24 season and are still firmly in the relegation fight as the campaign’s end moves closer.

Stoke City: 3 players who could play in the Premier League in the future

Despite the struggles of this campaign, there have been some promising players to emerge. Some of those could have futures beyond Championship football too.

With that said, here are three Stoke City players capable of stepping up to the Premier League in the future…

Wouter Burger

Since joining from FC Basel last summer, Dutch midfielder Burger has been one of few shining lights at Stoke City. His importance to the team has been cemented by the fact he’s already captained the Potters on a number of occasions.

Burger has played at a good level in Switzerland and Holland before, even testing himself in European football. A rise to the top-flight should certainly await him in the years to come.

Jun-ho Bae

South Korean attacking midfielder Jun-ho Bae has become a popular figure in his first season at Stoke City. Able to play in midfield, out side, as a no.10 or in behind the striker, the 20-year-old has shown the signs of a talent to keep an eye on for the future.

Junior Tchamadeu

Cameroon international Tchamadeu is another player with plenty of developing to do. After breaking through at Colchester United and jumping from League Two to the Championship at such a young age though, many will expect him to test his talents at the top of the game in the years to come.

Tchamadeu is capable as a wing-back or full-back and will be determined to cement his place as the Potters’ go-to man on the right before casting his eyes to a potential top-flight step up.
