Which Chicago Bears player will surprise in 2024?

1 perfect Jets move to fill out roster before 2024 training camp

The New York Jets should consider signing this veteran running back before training

The New York Jets are going all in with the 2024 NFL season. New York knows that their only hope for winning a Super Bowl is building a roster designed to maximize 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers. They have done a solid job of building the roster this offseason with that goal in mind.

New York added a slew of offensive lineman in the free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft to build a wall around Rodgers. They brought in John Simpson and Tyron Smith in free agency as well as trading for Morgan Moses from the Ravens. The Jets doubled down by selecting Olu Fashanu with their first-round pick in the draft.

The defense in New York continues to be a strength. Haason Reddick is the biggest name added to one of the best defenses in the league. The Jets should have no reasons for concern on that side of the ball.

New York also added some offensive playmakers in Malachi Corley, Mike Williams, and Braelon Allen to help fill out their skill positions. The Jets do not have a star-studded offense necessarily, but young studs like Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson are more than enough to work with. However, many Jets fans would feel more comfortable if the team added a few more weapons for Rodgers to work with.

Ultimately, he New York Jets are only one or two players away from having a complete roster. But another skill position weapon could help insulate them from injury risk.

If the Jets sign one more weapon on offense, like Kareem Hunt, they will have everything they need to make a deep playoff run in 2024.

Kareem Hunt could be the final piece of the Jets’ offense

Kareem Hunt’s best days are behind him in the NFL. But he can still be a valuable piece to a modern NFL offense.

Hunt has been a solid role player in Cleveland for several seasons now, capable of winning on the ground and in the air. The Browns chose not to re-sign him and he is still a free agent. Therefore, there’s nothing stopping New York from adding him to their roster before training camp.

Hunt is a good player for the Jets to target because he could fill multiple roles on the offense. For starters, he would significantly upgrade their running back depth. There are some nice names in

New York’s backfield, but nobody behind Breece Hall is a proven commodity. Rookie Braelon Allen is an intriguing prospect but doesn’t seem ready to contribute much from day one. Israel Abanikanda didn’t show much in his rookie season to get excited about, but he is solid depth. Isaiah Davis is another promising rookie, but he is still a rookie.
