Nothing Changes!’ C.J. Stroud’s Approach Doesn’t Shift Entering Playoffs
If Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is anything, he’s level-headed. Stroud was asked this week about his approach to this week’s Wild Card playoff game, and he’s taking the same attitude into the postseason as he’s had throughout his rookie year (and in his youth).
“I really feel it is what it is,” Stroud said. “You don’t want to make it too high, you don’t want to make it too low. Same game we’ve been playing since we were young. “Nothing changes. Got to just prepare hard and and do
everything we need to do to try and win this game, and I think that’ll take us home. But trying to make it too big, that’ll psych you out and make you nervous.” Stroud’s return from concussion protocol helped the Texans reach the playoffs for the first time since 2019, and they won the AFC South in the process. In the midst of these win-or-go-home situations, Stroud’s persona didn’t change, and that should bode well for postseason scenarios.
Houston will host the Cleveland Browns on Saturday as part of the NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend, and kickoff at NRG Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on
