49ers’ Christian McCaffrey says Jets star ‘doesn’t get enough credit’
49ers’ Christian McCaffrey knows running backs – he’s one of the best.
As he looks to win his first Super Bowl this weekend, McCaffrey spent time during media availability Monday complimenting another player at his position: Jets’ Breece Hall.
“Breece is a stud, man,” McCaffrey said to reporters, via UStadium. “I think he’s another guy around the league who doesn’t get enough credit. Obviously he has the speed to make any run go, and once you get him going he’s hard to stop. Breaks tackles, gets yards after contact, has the patience, the vision and he can catch the ball too. He’s a stud.”
Hall missed most of his rookie season last year after tearing his ACL, but was on the 53-man roster to start this season 11 months after the injury. He has 1,585 scrimmage yards this year, nearly a third of which he amassed in the final three games of the season. He capped off the year with a career-high 37 carries for 178 yards in the Jets’ season finale win over the Patriots.
