Bears release final Week 1 injury report vs. Titans
The Chicago Bears and the Tennessee Titans both have some injury designations heading into their Week 1 matchup at Soldier Field this weekend. Bears defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest. Pickens had logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice on Friday. Head coach Matt Eberflus said that the second-year pro is “working through” it but Pickens is ultimately “not ready for right now.” According to Eberflus, Pickens was stepped on his foot on Thursday and he will do another workout Saturday to see where he’s at. If Pickens can’t give it a go, it’s expected to see Chris Williams serve as the team’s top
backup defensive tackle against Tennessee. The Bears also have multiple players listed as “questionable” heading into the matchup. Wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel), and edge rushers Montez Sweat (toe), Darrell Taylor (foot) and DeMarcus Walker (groin) are all questionable. However, Allen logged a full practice for the first time this week on Friday, as well as Sweat. Walker practiced in a limited fashion and Taylor didn’t play and hasn’t practiced at all this week.
