Milwaukee Brewers 2024 Season Unsung Hero Signs With The Boston Red Sox
In 2024 the Milwaukee Brewers starting rotation dealt with a wide variety of injuries. Brandon Woodruff had an ankle injury and then raynaud’s syndrome, Freddy Peralta had a shoulder injury resulting in significant time lost, Adrian Houser dealt with a flexor tendon issue, and Aaron Ashby shoulder and elbow problems. This resulted in one organizational depth piece needing to step up and cover innings.
Jason Alexander was an unsung hero of 2022 Milwaukee Brewers.
On June 1, 2022 Jason Alexander was added to the Brewers 40-man roster. From there he then went on to make 11 starts (18 appearances) and throw 71.2 innings. His contributions on the mound help Milwaukee navigate what was a tricky season from a starting pitching stand point.
How did Jason Alexander perform in 2023?
Unfortunately a shoulder issue that crept up during the off-season resulted in a delayed start for Jason Alexander in 2023. He was placed on the 60-day injured list upon pitchers and catchers report day and wasn’t activated until after the fourth of July. Ultimately he did not pitch in the big leagues in 2023 and was outrighted off the 40-man roster mid-season.
The Boston Red Sox have signed Jason Alexander to a contract.
Jason Alexander is reportedly heading to Boston on a minor league contract. The veteran will again initially serve as an organizational depth piece, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him back in the big leagues in 2024. Hopefully the 29 year old can make it back to the show with the Red Sox.
