Hull City fitness update as Tigers prepare for critical Easter games with Stoke and Leeds United

The Tigers return to action on Good Friday with the visit of the struggling Potters

Hull City will run the rule over Jean Michael Seri and Abdush Omur when the pair return from international duty on Thursday ahead of their busy Easter weekend of Championship action.

City host Stoke City in front of a sold-out MKM Stadium crowd on Good Friday before taking on Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday evening, and head coach Liam Rosenior will hope the influential Ivory Coast international and Turkish playmaker are fine to be involved.

Seri played 75 minutes of his country’s 2-1 win over Uruguay on Tuesday night and will be assessed ahead of the 3pm kick-off against the struggling Potters, while Abdush came off the bench in the closing stages of Turkey’s 6-1 hammering in Austria.

Elsewhere, Jaden Philogene and Tyler Morton returned unscathed from England Under-21s’ double-header having played in the 5-1 demolition over Azerbaijan on Friday, but sat out the 7-0 win over Luxembourg at Bolton on Tuesday evening, while Noah Ohio played 62 minutes in the 3-0 win over Moldova on Monday – the trio took part in full training on Wednesday.

Boss Rosenior reported a clean bill of health for those players who were part of the week-long training camp in Antalya last week, with Jacob Greaves the only absentee over the Easter weekend as he sits out both games through suspension.

Mika’s not back till tomorrow (Thursday),” Rosenior told Hull Live. “We’ll assess him because of the travel, the same with Abdush, he played late last night, so those are the only two that didn’t train today (Wednesday). Other than that, we’re fully fit to go apart from Liam Delap.”

Rosenior revealed striker Ohio had come back from international duty with a bit between his teeth and raring to go as he looks to make his mark in the remaining nine games of the campaign.
