Philadelphia Eagles Trade Away Superstar To Houston Texans In Massive Proposal
The
had one of the biggest collapses the league has seen in recent memory in 2023. After starting the season with 10 wins and only one loss, the team was unable to win their division and was blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round in the postseason. With many questions surrounding the organization this offseason, one proposal has one standout player being dealt away this offseason after getting permission to seek a trade by the team.
Eagles star edge rusher Haason Reddick is rumored to not be with the team in 2024 after Philadelphia permitted him to seek a trade. Reddick is entering his final year on his three-year, $45 million deal that he signed after having back-to-back seasons with 60-plus pressures and 11-plus sacks. The two sides seem unable to find a common ground when it comes to contract negotiations, which has led many analysts to speculate that he will be with a different squad in 2024.
While the star defender has made it clear that he would like to stay with the Eagles, he may seek offers from other organizations willing to pay him what he is looking for. Reddick was not as dominant in 2023 as he has been in years past, with his pass-rush grade dropping from 90.0 to 75.2. Even with the decreased production, he was still an effective pass rusher, and has now amounted to over 800 snaps and double-digit sacks in four straight seasons.
