Blackburn boss on Coventry striker links and defender exit
John Eustace was unaware if a bid for Brandon Thomas-Asante has been launched by Blackburn Rovers.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands Thomas-Asante, who they previously tried to sign from Salford City, is a target but it’s unclear whether an offer has yet been made.
Eustace himself didn’t know if Rovers had made a bid but did not rubbish the interest. He is thought to be on a list, as have the likes of Ollie McBurnie and Patrick Bamford, though neither of those deals are likely to happen.

“I don’t think anything is imminent in the next few days, not that I’m aware of,” Eustace explained.
“Brandon is another good player at this level. We have been linked with a lot of strikers already from the league. He’s someone with good pedigree and someone who has done well over the last few seasons.
I don’t know if there has been a bid. I’m not aware if that’s happened and if it has, ok, brilliant.”
Kyle McFadzean missed the win over Portsmouth due to illness. The experienced defender is in the midst of transfer discussions with Chesterfield, as reported by the LT on Sunday.
That deal was expected to have been concluded by now but negotiations are ongoing over the finances of the deal. A loan until the end of the season was closed to being agreed but there are some details still to be ironed out.
