Irish goalkeeper Sean McDermott leaves Dinamo Bucharest after just three games
Sean McDermott have left Romanian outfit Dinamo Bucharest after an extremely short spell which saw him play just three games. The 25-year-old, who’s father Terence hails from Donegal village Mountcharles, was called into Martin O’Neill’s squad for last summer’s UEFA Nations League tie against Wales and a subsequent friendly against Poland, but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Republic. McDermott kept clean sheets in
his first two games – both of which Dinamo won – but was axed after a 2-1 home defeat to FC Botosani. The goalkeeper was on the bench for the following game against Dunarea Calarasi, before boss Mircea Rednic confirmed he had left the club. “I asked for a goalkeeper, not a libero, that is life. I told you, I am very demanding. “I don’t want the next season to catch us and not be sure what we did during this period. We can not forgive anybody next season if we miss the play-off.”
Vladimir Cupara to join Dinamo Bucuresti
Serbian goalkeeper Vladimir Cupara will leave Telekom Veszprem after five years in summer 2024.
The 28-years old national team member who will play at World Championship 2023 in Poland and Sweden, is ready to join ambitious Romanian champions Dinamo Bucuresti at the end of existing contract for the season 2024/2025.
Cupara came to Veszprem in 2019 from Polish Kielce. With both teams Serb played at EHF Champions League Final4.
He began international career at BM Ademar Leon.
Jan Pytlick -14 start with Saudi Arabia: We have to score 24-25 goals…
It is always difficult to see Olympic champion to struggle at the big event. That is “destiny” of Danish coach Jan Pytlick, who is total outsider with Saudi Arabia in Group in Katowice, where he is competing with Slovenia, Poland and France.
First match “son of the desert” lost against Slovenia 19:33.
