NFL announces players approved for the 2025 draft, including Alabama linebacker
Alabama inside linebacker Jihaad Campbell and 26 other SEC players were among the 55 granted special eligibility on Thursday for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Another 15 underclassmen who have completed their degree requirements with college eligibility remaining also will be part of the next NFL Draft, the league announced on Thursday, including Alabama guard Tyler Booker and quarterback Jalen Milroe.
Campbell announced on Jan. 2 that he would leave early for the NFL, and he was among the 25 players who applied for special eligibility before the “soft” deadline of Jan. 6. The new deadline was added to help players and all-star game organizers in the invitation process.
Thirty more players with college eligibility remaining submitted petitions for draft consideration before the traditional deadline, which arrived on Wednesday.
The 89th NFL Draft will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
In addition to Campbell, SEC players receiving special eligibility for the 2025 NFL Draft included:
