FCSB can sell a central defender to their arch-rival CFR Cluj
FCSB is preparing to part ways with an old player, a central defender who hasn’t had many chances and minutes in the red and blue jersey.
The Romanian champion, recently qualified for the main group stage of the Europa League, has decided to part ways with Denis Haruț, a 25-year-old defender brought in from FC Botoșani. The defender will no longer be part of the squad at Berceni but could be involved in a surprising transfer, possibly to the arch-rival CFR Cluj, from where Bucharest just brought in Daniel Bîrligea.
Haruț did not want to move to Farul Constanța, where he was practically guaranteed by owner Gigi Becali, and could play for another team in the Superliga. CFR officials have shown interest in his services, especially considering that Cluj won’t rely on Matija Boben (30 years old), Anton Kresic (28 years old), and Arlind Ajeti (30 years old) anymore.
“I gave Haruț the paper to leave freely. I told Bilașco. He said he might be interested, but I don’t even know what Haruț did anymore. I let him go to Hagi, then he said he won’t go there anymore, I really don’t know,” stated Gigi Becali, live on Fanatik Superliga.
