Michigan’s football team College Football Playoff streak ended this season, but it did add a player this month with recent playoff experience.
Clemson defensive tackle Tre Williams played in the Tigers’ 38-24 loss to Texas in the quarterfinals and recorded his only two sacks of the season. The 6-foot-2, 315-pounder entered the NCAA transfer portal shortly after the Dec. 21 loss and signed with the Wolverines Jan. 4. He has one season of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
