Indiana Fever fans are hopeful they can add a few pieces in free agency to be more competitive in 2025. The Fever made the first-round of the playoffs in Caitlin Clark’s rookie campaign after going 20-20 in the regular season. It wasn’t an issue to for Indiana to put basketballs through the hoop in 2024, as the team averaged scoring the third most points per game (86.6) in the WNBA. However, fans on social media are interested in adding the Chicago Sky’s leading scorer in 2024, Chennedy Carter.
The No. 4 pick in the 2020 draft averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals with Chicago. On Monday, the Sky chose not to extend Carter’s qualifying offer amid reports that the locker room had issues with the 26-year-old point guard’s behavior during the season. Teresa Weatherspoon chose not to intervene in the drama, which led to her firing after one season as the head coach in Chicago.

Carter did not play in the WNBA in 2023.
