Calls Mount for Former Angel Reese Teammate to Join Caitlin Clark, Fever After Sky Drama
Indiana Fever fans are hopeful they can add a few pieces in free agency to be more competitive in 2025. The Fever made the first-round of the playoffs in Caitlin Clark’s rookie campaign after going 20-20 in the regular season. The No. 4 pick in the 2020 draft averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals with Chicago. On Monday, the Sky chose not to extend Carter’s qualifying offer amid reports that the locker room had issues with the 26-year-old point guard’s behavior during the season.

Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images “Chennedy Carter! Come to Indiana! You and the Fever would be unstoppable. Wherever you land I wish you the best!,” wrote a fan.
“Indiana Fever Satou and Chennedy Carter should be who y’all sign. Then, revamp the bench,” suggested a fan. “Aye second chances can happen in Indiana,” argued another.
Carter played college basketball for Texas A&M from 2017-2020. The native of Fort Worth, Texas, was drafted by the Atlanta Dream and traded to the Los Angeles Sparks for 2022 after being suspeded for conduct detrimental to the team. Carter did not play in the WNBA in 2023.
WNBA Legend Makes Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Guarantee for Future Caitlin Clark Game
When Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark attended the Indianapolis leg of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” back in November, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year revealed that the “Fortnight” singer had invited her to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game with her sometime in the future.
That link-up came to fruition on Saturday when Clark was seen inside the VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium sitting beside Swift as they cheered on Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in their Divisional Round matchup against the Houston Texans.
The Chiefs won that game, 23-14, which came much to the delight of Swift, Clark and Kansas City fans everywhere.
