Most of the Tigers’ class of 2026 commits were on campus for the event, as well as many prospects that Auburn is trying to lock down.

In attendance this weekend was 4-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan from Alexander City, Alabama. Ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in his recruiting class and the No. 1 prospect out of his home state, Morgan is being pursued by several big programs in addition to Auburn football.

Morgan had been to campus plenty of times prior to this weekend, but Saturday’s matchup between No. 1 Auburn and No. 6 Tennessee was his first basketball game on the Plains. While Morgan had a great time at the game, another memorable part of his visit was spending time with the Tigers’ wide receivers coach Marcus Davis, who has been recruiting Morgan since taking his position on Auburn’s staff.Cederian Morgan, Class of 2026 wide receiver of Benjamin Russell High school in Alexander City, Alabama, catches a ball during the 2024 Dabo Swinney Football Camp in Clemson in Clemson June 5, 2024. “Coach Davis has been with me since my freshman year, so we got a long bond,” Morgan said, per Auburn Rivals. “You know, like today we kind of talked about just the life stuff. You know, it’s bigger than football, but I got to know him a little bit more. He got to know me, even though we know each other from the tee, from the tee up. But that’s my guy, and I got a lot of respect for Coach Davis.”

While Ohio State and Ole Miss are contenders for Morgan, 247Sports indicates that it will likely be an Iron Bowl battle for the receiver between Alabama and Auburn football. But following his most recent visit to the Plains, the Tigers are trending up for Morgan.Cederian Morgan, Class of 2026 wide receiver of Benjamin Russell High school in Alexander City, Alabama, catches a ball during the 2024 Dabo Swinney Football Camp in Clemson in Clemson June 5, 2024. “It’s very, very high,” Morgan said of where the Tigers stand in his recruitment. “They’ve got a great chance.”
