Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&MConsidering the Georgia and Oklahoma games are at home, the Vols don’t have it too awful when it comes to who they miss.

Not dealing with Texas and Texas A&M is a plus, and not getting the Tigers – Auburn, LSU, and Missouri – is all good. Throw in not having to deal with Lane Kiffin and the circus he brings to the matchup is a plus, too. Tennessee football schedule, the good and the bad The Good: All seven teams Tennessee misses are solid. That means it gets Arkansas, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt – those have to be three wins.Tennessee football DB declares for 2024 NFL Draft - Tennessee

Georgia is on the slate as the SEC opener, but at least that’s in Knoxville. After starting with Syracuse in Atlanta, three of the next four games are against teams that didn’t go bowling before getting a week off. The second half of the season is about as easy as can be reasonably asked for in the SEC

The Bad: Georgia is on the schedule. That’s not a good thing, and having to go to Alabama hurts. Yes, three of the last four games are at home, but the run of three road games in four in SEC play will be a challenge, even if two of those games are Mississippi State and Kentucky. Tennessee Football Schedule: Best and worst case scenarios Best Case Scenario: The Vols get by Syracuse to start and pull off the win at home over Georgia.Tennessee football DB declares for 2024 NFL Draft - Tennessee

There’s a loss against Alabama, and a miss somewhere else – like against Oklahoma or Arkansas at home – but everything works out fine to get to the SEC Championship and get to another expanded CFP. Worst Case Scenario: The Vols will be too good to fall completely off the map, but they lose just enough to be an also-ran. The Syracuse Orange outplays the Vol orange in the opener, Georgia wins the SEC opener, and there’s no room for error the rest of the way – but there are plenty.Decommitted?? + A New Prediction | Tennessee Vols Football

The Crimson Tide fire up the cigars in Tuscaloosa, Florida gets the win at home in the rivalry, and Oklahoma or Arkansas both pull off something strong on their trips to Knoxville. Season Prediction: (Jan. 28) The record will probably be a bit better than the team, but whatever – you are what that records says you are.Just assume wins over ETSU, UAB, New Mexico State, and yes, Vanderbilt. The Vols should come up with wins over Oklahoma and Arkansas if everything goes right, and if the team is really CFP-good, it beats Kentucky and Mississippi State on the road.Out of the trips to Alabama and Florida, along with Georgia and Syracuse, Tennessee takes at least two of those to get to nine wins, potentially ten.The Season Prediction will be updated several times this offseason
