New Cowboys Coaching Hire Has Ties to Star WR Dallas Could Pursue
New Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer has spent the last few weeks building his coaching staff ahead of the 2025 season. The most notable hires Schottenheimer has made were at defensive (Matt Eberflus) and offensive (Klayton Adams) coordinator.
However, Schottenheimer and his two coordinators have made several position coaching hires, which should help the Cowboys get back to the top of the NFC East and in the NFL playoffs.
One of the position coaches Dallas has reportedly hired was Junior Adams, who will lead the wide receiver room. Adams has spent the last three years at Oregon, where he was the wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator.
In addition to his time at the University of Oregon, the new Cowboys coach has also coached at Washington, Eastern Washington, Western Kentucky, and Chattanooga.
According to Joseph Hoyt of DLLS, a source from Oregon had nothing but great things to say about Adams, who has coached various NFL wide receivers, including Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp.
In a quote Hoyt pulled from Kupp, the Rams star receiver was complimentary of Adams, which could be good news for the Cowboys. Last week, Kupp said on social media that the Rams “will be seeking a trade immediately.” The Cowboys need a WR2 with Brandin Cooks scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, making Kupp a viable option for the Cowboys.
According to OverTheCap.com, the Cowboys are projected to have $11.5 million in cap space in free agency, which isn’t a lot.
Therefore, the Cowboys must do some salary maneuvering to go after Kupp, who is scheduled to make $20 million in 2025 and $19.85 million in 2026. Even though Kupp missed four games this season due to injury, he still recorded 67 receptions (100 targets) for 710 yards and six touchdowns.
When healthy, Kupp can put up 1,000 yards and be the perfect complement to star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Lamb is an explosive playmaker and can stretch the field. It would be hard for defenses to bracket coverage over Lamb if you have Kupp on the other side.

Jordan Love’s Attempt to Recruit Micah Parsons to Packers Goes Terribly Wrong
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love gave an honest effort to lure All-Pro Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons to join him this offseason.
There has been some reporting in recent days that the Cowboys may entertain offers for Parsons, who is already one of the premier pass rushers in the sport at the age of just 25. If that’s remotely true, general manager Brian Gutekunst and Green Bay are among the teams that should be trying most aggressively to land him.
Given the Packers’ inconsistent pass rush last season, infusing Parsons and his 52.5 sacks through his first four seasons, would immediately elevate Green Bay’s defense and potentially the franchise’s Super Bowl chances in the coming years.

Love made an appearance leading up to the Super Bowl on Parsons’ “The Edge” podcast, where he made his pitch for Parsons to come join the Packers. It didn’t go well.
“I mean, there’s a dude sitting right next to me. That’d be pretty cool,” Love said, when asked by Parsons if there was one player in the league he hopes would sign with the Packers. “That’d be pretty cool, no? You don’t think so? How you feel about that, what would your take be on coming to Green Bay?”
He was booed. Vociferously.
