‘Back’ – Vitor Pereira gets another boost for Wolves ahead of Everton as injured star spotted at Compton
Wolves are gearing up for their next Premier League game against Everton – and Vitor Pereira appears to have received another boost.
Wanderers are looking to get back on track after a disappointing past couple of results.
Wolves recently lost 2-1 at Molineux to Fulham, before then crashing out of the FA Cup on penalties to Bournemouth.
Wolves’ misery last weekend was compounded by the fact Matheus Cunha got sent off for scrapping with Milos Kerkez.
Cunha will miss Wolves’ next three games and was charged by the FA last night. There is a possibility he could yet miss a fourth game.
But Vitor Pereira did receive some good news yesterday, with Rodrigo Gomes returning to training after injury.
And last night, Wolves shared a picture that Wolves fans lapped up.
Emmanuel Agbadou returns to training at Wolves
Wolves may not have Cunha to call on this weekend, but it looks like Pereira does have some key players returning which is good news.
Last night, there had been suggestions that Emmanuel Agbadou was back in training, as he appeared in photos with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde at Compton having presented him with his Player of the Month award.
But Wolves appear to have confirmed Agbadou is actually training again now.
Agbadou had picked up an injury against Liverpool, and has been sidelined for the last couple of weeks.
But the club uploaded a picture of him alongside last night fellow January signing Nasser Djiga, with an accomanying ‘back’ emoji.
Agbadou can be seen in full training gear, unlike in the photos with Bellegarde.
Agbadou return is major boost for Wolves
This will be a welcome sight for Wolves fans, who have taken an instant liking to Agbadou since he signed from Reims.
He’s made a terrific impact so far, and the backline looks much more solid with him in it.
It remains to be seen whether Agbadou will be able to start Saturday night’s game against Everton. But clearly, this photo suggests he is now not far away from a return.
Wolves need him back in the team and playing consistently.
If the Ivorian can stay fit for the rest of the campaign, there will surely be a much better chance of survival than if he wasn’t around.
