Ruud van Nistelrooy confirms Leicester City injury boost ahead of Chelsea with duo set to return
Leicester City and Chelsea will clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Ruud van Nistelrooy has been speaking to the media ahead of the tie.
Leicester City will be looking to cause a major upset when they face off with former manager Enzo Maresca this weekend.
Chelsea are currently in a tight battle to secure a Champions League place, while the Foxes are floundering in the relegation zone.
Paul Merson made his prediction for Leicester’s clash with the Blues this week, and, as expected, it doesn’t make for great reading for Foxes fans.
The Midlands outfit beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 earlier this year but apart from that shock victory, have fallen to defeat in 11 of their previous 12 league games.
In turn, Ruud van Nistelrooy will need to pull off another miracle if he’s to keep Leicester up this term.
Ruud van Nistelrooy confirms Woyo Coulibaly and Ricardo Pereira boosts ahead of Chelsea
Ahead of what is expected to be a very tough test, Van Nistelrooy spoke to the media on Friday afternoon.
The Dutchman discussed a number of topics in his pre-Chelsea press conference, including providing a brief team news update.
Right-back Ricardo Pereira returned to training last month and he is now is back and available to face Chelsea, as per BBC Sport.
Another boost came on the Woyo Coulibaly front after he missed the meeting with West Ham United last week.
Ruud confirmed that the January addition is now back fit after recovering from a minor issue.

We are now firmly into the business end of the 2024/25 season, and if the Foxes are going to mount a proper survival push, now is the time to start.
They have a very tricky run of fixtures coming up, which starts against Chelsea and culminates in a meeting with 17th-place Wolverhampton Wanderers.
When asked if every game going forward is now a must-win for Leicester, Van Nistelrooy said in his presser: “The approach is, and always has been, to get the maximum out of the game, and to win.
“If you can’t win, then to protect the result at the end. It’s a similar approach to Sunday as it is for all games.”
Jeremy Monga is a rare beam of light for Leicester City in a dark season, but supporters are worried that light will be stolen from them.
It’s been an impressive campaign for Monga so far, with the teenager shining at club level and on the international stage for England.
Monga has trained with the Leicester first team on multiple occasions, and he’s flourished in the under-21s alongside the likes of Jake Evans and Henry Cartwright.
Still only 15, Monga has also caught the eye for England’s under-16s, scoring in fixtures against France, Colombia and Denmark as captain.
As a result of his talent, Leicester City News exclusively revealed on Thursday that Monga has agreed a transfer with Manchester City.
