Broncos Predicted to Sign 10,000-Yard WR in NFL Free Agency
It was a good season for the Denver Broncos, led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix, going 10-7, finishing third in the AFC West and making a playoff appearance, eventually losing to the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round 31-7. Much of their success can be attributed to the defense, ranking third in points per game allowed (18.3), with their offense needing some work, finishing 10th in points per game (25) and 19th in total yards per game (325.6).
In order to help fix this, Dan Treacy predicts the Broncos will sign wide receiver Amari Cooper, who in his 10-year career has racked up 711 receptions, 10,033 yards and 64 touchdowns. “The Broncos are one of a few teams in the AFC West who could use a veteran receiver, and Denver can’t just sit on its hands and not give [quarterback] Bo Nix any help,” Treacy wrote. “Cooper would be a nice fit for Sean Payton’s offense at the right price.” Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper (18) Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images Cooper is coming off a poor year with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns, appearing in 14 games and hitting career lows in targets (85), receptions (44), yards (547), and touchdowns (four).
However, even those numbers rivaled the Broncos’ second-most efficient wide receiver in 2024, Marvin Mims Jr., with 39 receptions, 503 yards, and six touchdowns on 52 targets. Cooper will be 31 years old by the start of the 2025 season, and if he can return to being the same player who has reached at least 1,000 receiving yards seven times, he could become a reliable target for Nix.
Denver Broncos linked to top NFL free agent available
While we’re still in the early portion of NFL free agency, Denver Broncos fans have to be pleased with their offseason thus far.
They’ve already added a pair of potentially high-impact defenders to an already elite unit, signing linebacker Dre Greenlaw and safety Talanoa Hufanga from the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Sean Payton got a new toy on offense too, signing former two-time Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram. Now he could be eyeing another shiny weapon to go to battle with.

Denver Broncos ‘bear watching’ in Cooper Kupp free agency sweepstakes

After hunting for a trade partner for nearly a month, the Los Angeles Rams finally admitted defeat by releasing Cooper Kupp. The one-time All-Pro is said to be seeking a contract worth roughly $14-$15 million per season and he’s already been linked to a quartet of teams.
But now another candidate to sign the former Pro Bowl receiver has entered the fray.

According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos “bear watching” in the Kupp free agency sweepstakes too. He also added the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots as two other teams worth monitoring.
Teams that bear watching here include the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, and the New England Patriots, amongst others.”
Schefter adds that over 12 teams have shown some level of interest in adding Kupp to their roster this offseason. The former Super Bowl MVP was on track for a 1,000-yard season in 2024 before injuries limited him to just 12 games, so it’s no surprise he’s generating so much interest now that he’s on the open market.
