Sunderland Women sign Ireland international Marissa Sheva

Sunderland Women have signed Republic of Ireland international midfielder Marissa Sheva from NWSL side Portland Thorns.
Capped 11 times for her country and also in the squad for the double-header against Greece next month, she has also played in the National Women’s Soccer League for Utah Royals and Washington Spirit.
Sheva told safc.com: “I’m so happy to have signed with Sunderland and be a part of this incredible club. I’m excited to work with Mel, Steph and the group of girls that have been putting in the work all season. We’ve only got a few games to go, but I’m excited to help the team finish the season strong.”
Lasses Head Coach added: “We were made aware of Marissa becoming available in December and have tracked her ever since. We are delighted she wanted to come to Sunderland, we believe she has the attacking qualities to add value to the team and we are excited to see her finish the season with us and hit the ground running into the next.”
