Darren Moore’s first five games for prior clubs included victories over Man United and defeats against Grimsby.
The new Huddersfield Town manager has presided over a very successful period in the Premier League, disappointment at Sheffield Wednesday, and somewhere in the middle at Doncaster.
Before taking command of his first game away at Coventry City on Monday night, new Terriers manager Darren Moore does not have much time to train with his players, but he will be determined to make a good first impression anyway.
Before the month of October’s international break, Moore’s Huddersfield Town team will play four games in quick succession, three of them away from home, before the season resumes on October 21 when Queens Park Rangers come to the John Smith’s Stadium.

At West Bromwich Albion
Moore’s first job was a caretaker role at West Bromwich Albion, where he had been a popular player and then a coach under Alan Pardew. The manager’s sacking in April 2018 came with the Baggies’ relegation already a virtual certainty: the club were ten points adrift from safety following an eight-game losing streak and just one win in the previous 31 games.
Incredibly, though, Moore guided West Brom to go unbeaten in his first five games in charge, including claiming victories over Jose Mourinho’s league runners-up Manchester United, Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle, and Mauricio Pochettino’s third-placed Tottenham, plus a point against Jurgen Klopp’s fourth-placed Liverpool.
