Ipswich Town winger Nathan Broadhead has withdrawn from Wales’ squad after picking up an injury.

The 26-year-old was named in Craig Bellamy’s squad for their final Nations League B games against Turkey and Iceland alongside Town team-mate Wes Burns.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Burns had pulled out to focus on ‘managing a knock’, and Broadhead has since dropped out too. The Blues have revealed that he’ll remain in Suffolk to deal with a ‘minor groin problem’.

It means that no Ipswich players will be involved in Wales’ games this month, with former striker Kieffer Moore also withdrawing through injury.

Broadhead is yet to feature for Town in the Premier League, missing out on a place in the squad for Sunday’s 2-1 win away at Tottenham Hotspur. They’re next in action on Saturday, November 24th (4:30pm) when they host Manchester United at Portman Road.

As it stands, eight Ipswich players will be away for international action in the next few days.

McKenna worked under Solskjær following José Mourinho’s departure, with the Red Devils pushing hard to bring Ronaldo back to the club amid reported interest from Manchester City in the summer of 2021. However, the Northern Irishman was apparently against the signing.

Speaking to Norwegian outlet NRK, Solskjær revealed that McKenna analysed the Portuguese striker’s final six matches at Juventus after being told about the interest. He argued that the club should look elsewhere and try to strengthen in other areas of the pitch.
