Phil Parkinson has a ‘dominant’ titan who can silence summer transfer target Bailey Cadamarteri
Wrexham are back in League One action on Tuesday evening, facing off with Lincoln City.
The Red Dragons are looking to build on their superb showing from this past weekend when they host Lincoln City on November 26th.
Wrexham beat Exeter City 3-0 on Saturday, climbing back into the League One automatic promotion places as a result.
It was an impressive showing from the Welsh outfit, who have now secured an impressive 22 points and remain undefeated when playing at the Racecourse Ground this term.
Their away form has been nowhere near as good, but luckily for Wrexham, their upcoming meeting with Lincoln is once again on home soil.
A tough test is still expected on Tuesday evening, however, with the Imps currently sitting seventh in the third tier – only behind fifth place via goal difference.
Lewis Brunt must start for Wrexham vs Lincoln City
With midweek fixtures now coming thick and fast, Parkinson is likely to utilise his entire squad in the coming months and make some changes to his eleven.
After missing out against Exeter due to suspension, Andy Cannon is likely to come back into the starting line-up on Tuesday in place of Ollie Rathbone.
One player who should not be dropped for the clash with Lincoln, however, is Lewis Brunt.
The centre-back left Leicester City over the summer and had previously struggled for game time at Wrexham – notching just 21 minutes of action in the league.
However, the stopper started over the weekend, with Parkinson labelling Brunt ‘dominant’ after his display.
As per Sofascore, Brunt earned a joint-high 8.1 rating versus Exeter, had 72 touches, a 92 percent passing accuracy, won six of his six ground duels, made five tackles, two blocks, one interception, and was dribbled past zero times.
If Brunt does start, he has already shown he has the ability to keep Wrexham summer target Bailey Cadamarteri quiet.
Cadamarteri turned down a move to Wales and has instead been impressing while on loan at Lincoln this season and is expected to feature tonight.
