AFC BOURNEMOUTH will ‘have to adapt’ as they face possible suspensions for a number of players after Ryan Christie missed the Brighton match last weekend.

Christie picked up his fifth booking of the season against Brentford, while the Cherries will be without Antoine Semenyo at Wolves after he was handed his fifth yellow card against the Seagulls.

Lewis Cook, Justin Kluivert and Marcos Senesi all have four bookings so are one caution away from a match on the sidelines.

Iraola feels his side are getting more bookings this season, although he doesn’t think discipline is too much of a problem for him, saying that they cannot complain about the yellow cards they have received.

“Every team has injuries, has suspensions,” Iraola said after the Brighton game.

“We will miss now Ant, that is also a big miss.

“I don’t know if everyone has finished healthy or not. We’ll see tomorrow, but we will have to adapt, I think for sure every team is adapting.”

The Basque boss said his side missed Christie’s creativity in the midfield on Saturday, while also missing Alex Scott, someone who he said was perhaps the Scot’s natural replacement in the team.

With one eye on potential suspensions, Senesi was replaced by Dean Huijsen on Saturday after 65 minutes.

Looking at the number of bookings his team have had so far this term, Iraola said: “At the end, I don’t feel like past season, definitely we didn’t have a lot of yellows.

“Probably this season we are getting more. I don’t remember any suspensions past season.

“I would say maybe Marcos was close, but at the end I don’t think he got it. So now we are more in danger.

“We have some players on four and we will have to adapt.”
